  • 12 oz cheese tortellini
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Cook the tortellini according to package instructions.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Add the diced chicken to the skillet, seasoning it with salt and pepper, and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes.
  4. Stir in minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
  5. Add the broccoli to the skillet, cooking for another 3-4 minutes until they are bright and tender.
  6. Pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine, and bring to a gentle simmer.
  7. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce thickens, adjusting with reserved pasta water if necessary.
  8. Add in the cooked tortellini and stir to combine; cook for an additional minute to heat through.
