Korean BBQ Meatloaf with Sweet and Spicy Twist

This Sweet and Spicy Korean BBQ Meatloaf combines tender, juicy meat with a flavorful glaze that balances heat and sweetness, making it an unforgettable centerpiece for family dinners or casual gatherings.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup cooked rice
  • 1/4 cup onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/4 cup gochujang
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine all ingredients except sesame seeds.
  3. Transfer the mixture to a loaf pan, shaping it gently.
  4. Bake for 45-50 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
  5. For extra glaze, add some additional gochujang mixed with ketchup on top in the last 10 minutes of cooking.
  6. Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
  7. Slice and serve, garnished with sesame seeds.
